Professional Background

My background in children’s emotional well-being is rooted in working with schools & families over the past 10 years. Initially I trained and worked as as a specialist Nurture, Mindfulness and Emotional Literacy practitioner as well as overseeing the Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) for school’s most vulnerable children. I then went on to become a School Mental Health & Wellbeing Lead - building and leading a highly regarded Mental Health & Well-being department, which was noted in both recent Ofstead and SIAMS inspection reports:

”Groundbreaking work is happening in building emotional resilience and supporting children’s mental health.”

(Bishop Alan Wilson, Oxford Diocese School SIAMS)

In 2020, I set up on my own to enable me to work with a greater number of families and schools; providing parenting support (I am a certified Peaceful Parenting Instructor), 1:1 child emotion coaching. accessible emotional well-being resources and information as well as consultancy.

More About Me…

I live in Buckinghamshire with my husband and our two dogs, Oscar & Daisy. I love nothing more than walking with the dogs, looking after the plants on my allotment or trying my hand at just about anything crafty. I am absolutely passionate about working with families & children to promote emotional and relational well-being and am a self-confessed psychology nerd! This passion, I’m sure, stems from my own childhood struggles with feelings of anxiety. It’s with a genuine sense of empathy and understanding that I greet all the children and families that I work with. I’m so delighted to be able to share the tools and strategies that I’m trained in, some that have helped me to flourish and regain my own inner confidence over the years. A combination of personal experiences, training and working with 100’s of families & children in the past 10 years means that I really do ‘get it’.
